My research centers on the mathematical modeling of biological systems through ordinary differential equations and dynamical systems theory. I focus on modeling ecological and epidemiological processes, with particular emphasis on species interactions, vector-borne diseases, and other infectious disease dynamics.

My recent work has explored the interaction between invasive mosquito species and the distribution patterns of ticks. I studied how environmental factors influence these dynamics. I also conduct statistical analyses to complement my modeling efforts, integrating empirical data to enhance model accuracy and applicability. I also applied wastewater-based epidemiology to predict COVID-19 hospitalizations at a granular, community level. This work bridges mathematical modeling with public health practice. It demonstrates how predictive tools can inform timely and targeted interventions.

Looking ahead, I aim to develop modeling frameworks that blend mechanistic models and detailed environmental and demographic data. I also focus on addressing the interconnected challenges posed by climate change, emerging diseases, and shifting ecosystems.
