On Tuesday, February 18th, the Virginia Tech Chapter of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM-VT) will host a MATH 2000-level study session from 5 - 6 pm in McBryde 455. Any student enrolled in Math 2114, 2204 or 2214 is welcome to come and study. It's a great time to meet other students in the different sections of these classes. Impromptu study groups will be formed and members of the AWM will be there to assist you.  The group will also provide FREE PIZZA and DRINKS!

The purpose of the AWM is to "encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematicals sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences." The emphasis in the name is on the "FOR" women and is not "OF" women. Therefore any one who is "FOR" women in mathematics is welcome at all events.
