Population models with mixed boundary conditions and constant
yield harvesting
Lisa McFerrin
In this paper I focus on reaction-diffusion equations with constant
yield harvesting in one dimension. I analyze the logistic growth of
two point boundary value problems using the quadrature method to
study the effects on
the existence of positive steady states. These equations represent
biological models such as the Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna where there may
exist two harvesting rates within the domain. (Advisor Martin Klaus)
