Title: Metric Space Inversions
Abstract
We (briefly) recall the concept of Euclidean inversion about a sphere, an
idea closely connected to reflection across a plane. We define a notion
of inversion
valid in the general metric space setting and establish several basic
facts concerning this concept. For example, certain important geometric
properties are
preserved under inversion. In the presence of an annular quasiconvexity
property, we obtain additional results as well as improved quantitative
information. This is
joint work with Stephen M. Buckley and Xiangdong Xie.
