Title: Conformal invariants and applications
Abstract
I will review some conformal invariants that are commonly
used in geometric function theory, namely, harmonic measure, the
hyperbolic metric, Green's functions, and modulus of path families,
and will present some applications to complex dynamics, operator
theory, several complex variables, potential theory and the
"quasiworld". The talk is, in part, elementary and historical, so
it should be accessible to graduate students.
