**Title: **A very INTERESTING (and EASILY UNDERSTOOD!) COLLOQUIUM talk on Enumerative and Algebraic COMBINATORICS

### Abstract

Tim Gowers, the editor of the forthcoming (2005(?))
"Princeton Companion of Mathematics", asked me to write the
chapter on Enumerative and Algebraic Combinatorics, and in
his beautiful guidelines for authors, he advised that the chapters
of the book should NOT be like "mini-textbooks", but rather
more like "very interesting and easily understood colloquia".
I decided to take his advice literally, and give such a talk,
that hopefully will turn into the desired equally interesting
and just as easily understood chapter.
