Research Interests:

Discrete, finite graph dynamical systems (GDS) such as Sequential Dynamical Systems (SDS) and Generalized Cellular Automata (GCA). Mathematical modeling and analysis of complex systems based on GDS. See research for more information. For information on the book "An introduction to Sequential Dynamical System" click here.

Courses and Teaching Current Semester (Fall 2008)

I do not teach this semester. However, I will give some of the lectures of the department's course on mathematical modeling. Although not a focus, this course can be useful preparation for the Mathematical Contest in Modeling (or MCM) organized annually by COMAP. See their web page here.

Courses and Teaching Earlier Semesters

3124 Modern Algebra (Spring Semester 2008)

The old course web page can be found here

4984 Mathematics of Computer Simulations (Spring Semester 2006, 2007)

In 2006 I introduced the special topics course 4984 Mathematics of Computer Simulations. The foucs of this course is on discrete finite graph dynamical systems, their mathematical properties and some of their applications (e.g. epidemiology and biology). The course information page has more details.
