Research Interests:
Discrete, finite graph dynamical systems (GDS) such as Sequential Dynamical Systems (SDS) and Generalized Cellular Automata (GCA). Mathematical modeling and analysis of complex systems based on GDS. I do not teach this semester. However, I will give some of the lectures of the department's course on mathematical modeling. Although not a focus, this course can be useful preparation for the Mathematical Contest in Modeling (or MCM) organized annually by COMAP. In 2006 I introduced the special topics course 4984 Mathematics of Computer Simulations. The foucs of this course is on discrete finite graph dynamical systems, their mathematical properties and some of their applications (e.g. epidemiology and biology). The course information page has more details.
