| ICTA, the International Consortium for Technology and its Applications, is a consortium consisting of educational and research institutes in 18 countries of sub-Sahara Africa, as well as associate members from throughout the world. ICTA is devoted to the development of science and technology in member institutions. ICTA supports educational, training and research missions throughout Africa, initiates projects to further these missions, and facilitates international collaboration and mutual assistance. Inaugurated on 1 January 2000, ICTA, by networking with the present and future leaders of Africa, will be a principal contributor to a continent poised for development in the 21st century. |

Development Projects: ICTA is seeking commercial partners to aid in the development of Africa. ICTA is prepared to serve as local sponsor in partnership with international corporations seeking to invest in the African nations represented by ICTA. The Consortium will support applications to World Bank for MIGA and IFC funding. It will use its expertise and influence to help create a regulatory and statutory environment conducive to economic development.
