- Math 5484 is an introduction to the finite element method to
solve partial differential equations.
We will cover the Galerkin method for one-, two- and three-dimensional
partial differential equations.
We will devote most of the time to computational aspects and we limit
the theoretical analysis
to one chapter that will include a review of functional analysis.
We will also discuss discontinuous Galerkin methods and
adaptive refinement strategies.Click here for

There will be homework/project assignments and a term project. The Final
